THE CATARACT SURGERY
PROCEDURE
A lens implant (which is significantly
smaller than a dime) is used to replace the removed
natural
lens, so that the eye will be able to focus after
surgery without requiring strong, thick, distorting
glasses or contact lenses — and so your two
eyes will be able to work well together.
When
you schedule your cataract surgery at Holland Eye,
our office nurse
will use an ultrasonic
instrument to measure your eyes to determine the
strength of lens implant you will need so that you
won’t have to rely on strong glasses after
surgery. The actual surgery itself usually takes
less than 15 minutes.
Doctors Arendshorst and Snyder have
brought the very latest developments in cataract
surgery to the area, ensuring that, at Holland Eye,
you always get the best possible care.
